Is there a “Coaching Ethics”

Is there really a special Coaching Ethics and what is Business Ethics?

Businesses should behave properly, according to normative ethics as should coaches. Being honest and truthful is not a special ethic, nor is being aware of the needs of others.

Doctors and Lawyers are allowed to do things which are outside normative ethics, hurt people, keep criminal’s secrets. They have expert knowledge which they could use to harm others. They behave outside normative ethics. This does not apply to Coaches.

Coaches should behave ethically, they should not think they need a special ethical code.
